About mjakkerman

Maarten Akkerman is a researcher at Green Innovation and Development Centre (GreenID) in Hanoi, Vietnam. He joined GreenID in May 2013. Maarten obtained a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Groningen and in Urban Environmental Management from Wageningen University. His Bachelor from the University of Groningen was in Human Geography and Planning. His research interests include climate and energy policies and low carbon development. His dissertations focused on the relationship between soil policy and urban planning in the Netherlands and climate change policies in European cities.
