“Towards Green Cities: Integrated approaches for Sustainable Urban Growth” was one of the thematic panels during the recent conference “Integrative Urban Development:Towards Green and Resilient Cities in Vietnam” 24-25 Oct 2013 in Danang . The panel was focused on addressing green and sustainable urban development in Vietnam and highlight the need to integrate green planning and building, with applied experience, methodologies, and scales/ indices. The panel emphasised the importance of applied experience in strengthening the intellectual and theoretical basis of Green Development while the methodologies and tools showcased support the need for improved and increased capacities within the urban planning and development domain in Vietnam, and even regionally.
