Briefing of CoP Working Group

On 28 February 2013, the UCR-CoP Working Group Meeting convened 43 participants from 21 organizations, including NGOs, Ministry of Construction, international donors, national institutes and associations, international agencies and urban planning consultancies: the largest and most diverse UCR-CoP Working Group that has been convened since the UCR-CoP was established in December 2011. The meeting aimed to alert members on upcoming activities and/or new ideas for which there is a potential from participation, collaboration, or co-development with other UCR-CoP organizations. These can help to facilitate cross-learning, build the strength of our emerging network, and influence policy or practice on urban climate resilience. Key themes emerging from this discussion include:

  1. Mainstreaming climate change and influencing policy
  2. Capacity Building
  3. Building networks and knowledge sharing
  4. Research
