With the theme of “You and I Take Action together”, the 2013 Earth Hour campaign organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade with a series of activities has attracted a large number of participants especially students.
The Earth Hour 2013 program not only helps save power consumption, but raises people’s awareness on saving and efficient use of energy aimed at sustainable socio-economic development, environmental protection and mitigating against global climate change. The campaign has received 41 short films from professional and non-professional filmmakers nationwide. It has collected more than 3,000 fingerprints as commitments to take action against climate change and energy savings. Thousands of people voluntarily went for bike ride to promote the campaign. This year attracted the largest number of participants ever.
