“Integrative Urban Development: Towards Green and Resilient Cities in Vietnam”
Da Nang, 24-25 October 2013
The Ministry of Construction (MoC) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), will co-organize a major conference “Integrative Urban Development: towards Green and Resilient Cities in Vietnam” on 24-25 October in Da Nang.
During the conference three thematic panels will take place: ·
Towards Green Cities: Integrated Approaches for Sustainable Urban Growth (organized by ADB and Spatial Decisions in cooperation with MoC, GIZ, UN-HABITAT, MoNRE, UDA and CCCO) ·
Towards Resilience: Integrated Management of Urban Flood Risks (organized by MoC in cooperation with GIZ, CRURE/NIURP, SIUP, CCCO Binh Dinh Province, Challenge to Change, NL Water and the Universities of HCMC (VNU), Can Tho and Bochum) ·
Integrating Climate Change into Urban Planning: Required Tools and Current Approaches (organized by ISET and NISTPASS in cooperation with MoC, GIZ, CRURE/NIURP, Vietnam Association of Urban Planners, DPA HCMC, Quy Nhon)
